Transiting in KLIA2 and what somewhere to nap, shower and eat? Then you should definitely consider the Plaza Premium Lounge Transit Hotel KLIA2.
This Plaza Premium lounge hotel has small, comfortable and functional hotel rooms inside its airport lounge where you can go beyond getting a bite to eat and have a sleep and private shower.
Rooms are available from 3 – 12 hours and from one – four people and there is a great amount of flexibility with when you can have the room. So you aren’t stuck with an overnight rate if you want day use, for example.
Below, I will detail everything you need to know about this day hotel by Plaza Premium lounge so you can decide if it’s the right place for your stopover next time you are in KLIA2!
Plaza Premium Lounge Transit Hotel KLIA2 Review
This hotel is inside the Plaza Premium lounge located landside on level 2M. There are actually four Plaza Premium lounges at KLIA2 including another one on this floor, but this is the only one with hotel rooms (or private resting suites as they are called).
This lounge is located inside the Gateway shopping centre. To get here, take the escalator between Uniqlo and PappaRich on the Arrival Hall, Level 2 to Level 2M and turn left.
If you see the Aerotel, you are on the opposite side of the floor to where you need to be for this lounge – the other Plaza Premium lounge is there.
The Plaza Premium Private Resting Suites
We stayed in a studio for two people. It has a bench seat along one wall for luggage, a bunk bed with comfortable mattresses and sheets and a bathroom.
The shower came with two big towels and shampoo.
There are plenty of lighting options and power points for charging.
You can see a quick tour in the following video. But note that this is a small room so it’s hard to film well.
The room was very clean and exactly what we needed for a short layover. We were able to get some sleep and refresh with the shower.
The big downside is that walls are thin and you can hear noise into the terminal as well. Initially, this wasn’t an issue when we arrived at 5:30am as it was like a background hum. But as the day got later and more people were moving around, other rooms being vacuumed, etc, it kept waking me up.
In addition to the studio we had, there are rooms with one single bed, two bunk beds and a family room with one bunk bed and either two singles or a queen.
There are no windows in any of the rooms. There is decent WiFi and bottled water.
The Plaza Premium Lounge
One of the biggest benefits of booking this KLIA2 transit hotel is that you also get full access to the Plaza Premium lounge.
This small airport lounge has seating, meals, snacks and drinks on offer including juices, soft drink and beer.
The best part is that this is free for Plaza Premium Lounge Transit Hotel KLIA2 guests. It’s a twenty second walk from your room and you can go get what you like.
Given that a room at this transit hotel booked on Agoda can be cheaper than lounge access alone, this is also a great way to get access to an airline lounge for a discounted price.

Final Words
The Plaza Premium Lounge Transit Hotel KLIA2 is perfect if you want some sleep and a shower during a KLIA2 stopover, particularly if you don’t need a room overnight. You can book this option for a set number of hours and they will start from whenever you check in.
I do think the Tune Hotel is a bit nicer (read more here) but for shorter stopovers that don’t extend overnight, this is a solid option especially as it is much closer to the check in and arrival areas.
There is also the benefit of the lounge so meals, snacks and drinks are free while staying here which makes life very easy! We would definitely stay here again especially as it was also cheaper than the Tune Hotel while including these extras.
To get the best deal on the Plaza Premium Lounge Transit Hotel KLIA2, I highly recommend booking beforehand on Agoda. This is much cheaper than the rate you will get by booking direct and we got a bargain price this way.
You can book for 3, 6 or 12 hours. If you will arrive early the next morning, like we did at 5:30am, I recommend booking for the night before and sending them a message via the Agoda system letting them know what time you will be there.
