What to Expect in a Pulau Perhentian Resort Package

Package deals for the Perhentian Islands usually cover accommodation, breakfasts and dinners, some lunches, and an excursion or two.

Many of the packages are for two-night trips, but you’ll be able to book a Perhentian Island package 4D3N as well. In some cases, packages are available for even longer stays.

There are plenty of great things to do on the Perhentian Islands including snorkelling, jungle trekking, and scuba diving. However, be aware that during the wet season, tourist activity on the island shuts down.

Schedule your trip between late March and early October for the best experience.  Read more about the best time to visit here.

Top Packages for a Pulau Perhentian Trip

Bubu Resort Perhentian Island Package

Bubu Resort is on the popular Long Beach of Kecil Island. It’s separated into two areas, the resort and the villas.

The resort offers 38 ocean-view rooms, and 18 villas, many of which have a private beachfront terrace or lovely garden views. Rooms offer air-conditioning and a wide variety of bedding configurations.

The resort grounds have a spa and recreation centre. There are also three restaurants to choose from. You’ll also receive free Wi-Fi in selected areas.

2N3D Retreat in Full Board Snorkelling Package

This Bubu Villa Perhentian package is perfect for anyone looking to do a little snorkelling or hiking during a two-night stay. The package includes:

  • Accommodation for two nights
  • All meals – Two breakfasts, two 2-course lunches and two 3-course dinners
  • Welcome drink and an evening cocktail at cocktail hour between 5 and 6 p.m

Alunan Perhentian Resort Package

The Alunan Resort is located on the southern part of Perhentian Kecil on a less visited and more relaxed beach. Set between the water and the jungle, it’s in a gorgeous location.

Rooms are a high standard with double, twin, quad or family rooms on offer. They all have great sundecks with gorgeous views, air conditioning, bathrobes, TVs and tea and coffee making facilities.

This resort is home to a restaurant and a bar as well as a day spa and library.

Alunan Unlimited

Alunan Resort is a bit different to others as instead of set package deals for a certain number of nights, no matter how many nights you are staying at Alunan, you can pay an extra change for each night to add Alunan Limited.

I think it’s the best Perhentian package offer.

If you do this, you get the following for all your stay:

  • Unlimited dining – including snacks, drinks and selected alcholic drinks
  • Unlimited excursions – snorkelling tour, kayaking, snorkelling equipment hire and more
  • Be part of the Alunan Coral Project – you can even adopt a baby coral and plant it in their coral nursery
  • Two-way boat transfer from Kuala Besut Jetty
  • Daily boat transfer to the village on Perhentian Kecil
  • RM50 spa voucher
  • 4 items laundered a day

Perhentian Island Resort Package

The Perhentian Island Resort is a stunning large 3-star property located on Perhentian Besar (the Big Island).  Facilities here include an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant, bar, cafe, day spa, tennis court and a range of water sports on offer.

On-site there are 106 modernly decorated rooms all which are air-conditioned and open out to balconies – some with ocean views.  Rooms sleep up to 3 people with the option of a roll away bed at an additional charge.

The resort is looking tired and the cheaper room types need a renovation badly, so they aren’t recommended.

However, the resort could not be in a more stunning location.

Tuna Bay Perhentian Package

This is a 2-star resort on the southwestern side of Perhentian Besar features 55 tranquil chalets. Some chalets face the beach, and others are nestled into gardens. Each has its own covered terrace.

There is also a family chalet that features two rooms with a connecting door. You can choose a king, queen, single, or twin bed configuration.

The resort grounds have a restaurant and nightclub. Island hopping, snorkelling, and fishing excursions are offered as well as equipment rental for fishing and snorkelling.

Rooms are on the basic side, but this resort is very good value.

2N3D Dive Package

There are two types of 3D2N dive packages offered by Tuna Bay: Fun and Discovery. For the fun package, you must be a certified diver. The discovery package, on the other hand, is for beginners and includes training and one dive. You also get a snorkelling excursion.

Both packages include:

  • Welcome drinks
  • Two breakfasts, two lunches, two afternoon teas and two dinners (1 x asian dinner and 1 x BBQ)
  • Two-way boat transfer from Kuala Besut

Flora Bay Perhentian Package

This casual beachfront hotel is on the south side of Pulau Besar. Guest rooms provide air conditioning, a refrigerator, a safe, Wi-Fi, and a separate seating area. Some rooms offer ocean views, while others are surrounded by lush greenery.

There’s a restaurant and gift shop on the property and popular snorkelling spot, Teluk Keke, is only a few minutes away.

The rooms are old and cleanliness standards aren’t what they should be. The beach is not the best here either.

2N3D Honeymoon Package

This is a budget 2N3D honeymoon package to consider. It features:

  • Accommodation for two nights
  • Flowers and fruit basket
  • Three meals a day including candlelight dinner
  • Snorkelling trip
  • Trip to the wind turbines and solar hybrid
  • Two-way boat transfer from Kuala Besut

Check here for more information and to check current pricing.

The Barat Perhentian Package

The Barat is a 3-star resort offering beachfront chalets on the western side of Pulau Besar. There are 54 rooms and three suites available. There are both garden and beach chalets in different sizes, including a superior family chalet.

Rooms feature televisions, air conditioning, fans, minibars, and Wi-Fi. Complimentary bottled water is available as well.

On the property, you’ll find a dive centre, a rejuvenating health therapy centre, and a nice restaurant with ocean views.

The beach isn’t the best, but it’s easy to get to better beaches. Some rooms need a facelift.

Retreat Package

This great all-inclusive package is available for a two or three-night trip. The 3D2N package features:

  • Accommodation for two nights
  • Two breakfasts, one lunch and two dinners
