The Raia Hotel Kuala Terengganu (previously known as TH Hotel) is the place to be if you are looking for a hotel near Kuala Terengganu airport. Located just a kilometre away, it makes life nice and easy for a late or early morning flight. It’s also not far from the beach (but you will need a car or taxi).

Despite the airport location, it is well insulated and quiet.

At this best hotel Terengganu, there is a range of room types including standard hotel rooms with air conditioning, private bathrooms, minibar, satellite TV and desks. The rooms are a decent size. There are also suites including an executive suite which has bedding for four making this a solid choice for families.

This is our top choice in Kuala Terengganu because it is a top quality hotel only 5 minutes walk to Chinatown and is a hotel near Kuala Terengganu bus terminal – in fact, it’s pretty much practically next door.

The location of this hotel in Terengganu is great while being a crazy good price and having many facilities.

There are a variety of room types, including large suites. All rooms are air conditioned with climate control, a reasonable standard, including tea and coffee making facilities and minibars.

The Asia Premium Hotel is a 1-star hotel with good reviews located a couple of kilometres from Chinatown. So just out of easy walking distance. It is on the way to Batu Buruk Beach so if you want to be convenient to both, this could be the spot for you.

There is a range of room types at t his Kuala Terengganu cheap hotel including doubles, twins, triples and family rooms. You can also choose between standard, deluxe and premium depending on your budget and needs.

All rooms have the standard facilities – air conditioning, satellite TV, private bathrooms, a kettle and desk. There are free toiletries.

There aren’t a huge amount of facilities at the Asia Premium Hotel but there is a restaurant.

A big plus is that they all come with a sitting area, air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, wifi, minibar and private bathrooms. The rooms are comfortable and quiet.

If you are looking for a hotel near Chinatown Kuala Terengganu and many of the other tourist attractions then the J Suite Hotel Kuala Terengganu could be just what you are looking for.  This top hotel in Kuala Terengganu is a great price for the central location and is more modern than the hotels in Kuala Terengganu town centre we have covered so far.

There is a range of room types with various standards with the option of twin and king beds. There is also a family room option with two king size beds. All rooms come with air conditioning, TV, private bathrooms and tea and coffee making facilities. They have great mattresses on the beds, so expect a good night’s sleep!

There is however a lack of facilities at this hotel and it should definitely not be rated 4 stars. There is wifi, parking and a coffee shop.

The Regency Waterfront Hotel Kuala Terengganu Review

Address: Jalan Sultan Mahmud, Kuala Terengganu

The Regency Hotel Kuala Terengganu is located about a 15 minute drive south of Kuala Terengganu. This means it’s not the best option for travellers wanting to spend the majority of their time in the middle of Kuala Terengganu’s attractions and centre. However, it is a good location if you want to be near the beach.

There is a range of room types, including family rooms and suites. All rooms come with air conditioning, minibars, kettles and private bathrooms. They are spacious and have toiletries.

The hotel has its own restaurant as well as a coffee shop and pastry cafe for snacks and cakes. There are food stalls out the front.

While the price is good, this property has unfortunately been neglected. Staff are friendly, but the cleanliness needs to be worked on. The building and rooms are old and there are problems with things not working, including the elevators. Hopefully, they give the whole hotel a full renovation soon.
