There are no trains between KL and Muar. However, if you love trains so much that they are the only way you want to travel, it is possible to get some of the way to Muar.

  1. Take a train from KL Sentral to Gemas. This takes about 2.5 hours and only runs a couple of times a day
  2. Take a train from Gemas to Segamat train station. This does not run often either and takes 36 minutes
  3. Walk to the nearby Segamat Bazar Terminal. From here, take bus 65 to Muar. This takes two hours

I do not recommend you travel between KL and Muar using this method. Nothing connects nicely and you’ll take longer and spend more money than taking the bus. Set off early if you do to ensure you arrive in Muar within the same day.
