If you are looking for the perfect resort for relaxtion in Malaysia, the hotel Grand Lexis Port Dickson definitely deserves to be on your list.

Thanks to having my favourite two features in a hotel room – over-water villas plus private swimming pools – all wrapped into one, the Grand Lexis hotel Port Dickson is one of my favourite hotels in the world to have a fun and relaxing break.

In addition to this, there are many facilities and activities to keep you occupied if you can ever drag yourself from your pool.

In this post, I’ll share all about why this is one of my favourite Malaysian resorts in this Grand Lexis review blog.

Grand Lexis Port Dickson Review

The Grand Lexis in Port Dickson is located just north of the centre of Port Dickson. It may be the best located resort in Port Dickson from this perspective and there is a lot within a short distance from the resort, so it’s easy to go out and explore outside of the resort and try nearby restaurants, if you feel like venturing outside the resort.

There is also a lot within the Grand Lexis Port Dickson resort so you only need to leave if you want to.

From above – want to stay here?

Executive Pool Villa Grand Lexis Port Dickson

The main reason you are likely to stay here is due to the sensational Grand Lexis private pool opportunities – there are many room types that feature these.

If you are a land lover, you can stay in a garden pool villa Grand Lexis or a Grand Lexis Port Dickson room type that isn’t over the ocean. However, it is a shame to come here and not try the sensational over-water villas with private pool.

We stayed in the executive pool villa which is what is pictured below. All rooms types are somewhat similar in look and feel, but I’m going to share more about the room type we stayed in in this executive pool villa Grand Lexis blog.

You can take a quick tour here:

This villa is spacious and we found it fine with our family of five.

The bedroom area features two queen size beds, cupboards, a desk area, a minibar (complete with some included water and soft drinks) and everything else you would expect from a 5-star hotel. You can also get a baby cot if you have a little one.

As an added bonus, there is also a glass panel so you can see the water below. There is also a modem so internet is great.

From the bedroom, you can either access the pool area (there is a lock high up on the door so kids are safe) or a kitchenette area. The kitchenette has stools, a sink, tea and coffee making facilities, a microwave and some crockery and cutlery.

Finally, there is a large bathroom with views out to the ocean. From here, you can also exit to the fabulous outdoor area which also is home to a second shower.

The pool itself is great. It’s a good depth and there are steps. It’s a great size for a private pool too.

The room was well presented and well looked after. There is also an evening service when you can get fresh towels, more water and toiletries.

Other Room Types at Grand Lexis Port Dickson

If you’re considering other room types at Grand Lexis PD, such as a Grand Lexis Port Dickson garden pool villa, these are a few of the differences and options. One of the best things about any review Grand Lexis is that pretty much all the room types have a private pool! They do vary in layout and size, but if you’ve always dreamed of having your own private plunge pool, this is the resort for you.

The entry level (cheapest) room type is a Deluxe Pool Villa, which has a king bed and private pool within a garden. If you’re looking for a deluxe pool villa Grand Lexis blog, then the main things to know are that it’s a smaller space and there are no sea views, but you still get your own pool! If you’re looking for a garden pool villa Grand Lexis blog, the garden villa rooms are located in double storey units. The lower garden pool villa Port Dickson options have the pool enclosed so it’s more like an indoor pool – so that’s something to bare in mind if you would rather have views from your pool!

Grand Pool villas are also part of 2 storey units, and if you prefer an outside pool, I recommend getting one of the upper units. If you are a larger family or group, the Sky Pool Grand Villas come with 2 separate bedrooms.

Facilities

There are many activities and facilities at the Grand Lexis resort Port Dickson.

There is a great pool area which is very nice and well maintained as pictured above. It also has a small water playground. There’s a second outdoor playground as well.

Games room

Inside, you can find a small play area, a gym, day spa, karaoke room and a big games room. The games room has many game machines along with snooker tables, table tennis, air hockey and a Wii and XBox. Just about everything has a fee starting at 5 ringgit.

Outdoors, there are quite a few small activities. You can attempt an inflatable maze, work on your archery skills or ride a segway or mini electric cars for kids. There are also bikes to rent.

Most activities start at RM10 and the amount of time varies by the activitiy.

Eating Options

There are several restaurants as well as room service. Many cuisines are catered for and you shouldn’t have problems finding something you want to eat.

We highly recommend the Japanese option. It is some of the best Japanese we have ever eaten!

The only shame is that the restaurants are a bit tucked away and don’t take advantage of the waterfront location at all. We preferred getting room service and eating while we enjoyed our pool.

It’s also easy to eat somewhere else if you want. There are many options for a restaurant near Grand Lexis Port Dickson as it’s quite a central spot. I recommend a car or taxi to get around though – it’s hot!

Final Words

The pool and water playground area

Our Grand Lexis PD review revealed a nice resort hotel which has some good activities and eating options and some absolutely fabulous accommodation options.

We loved our Grand Lexis pool villa Port Dickson and being able to relax and enjoy our own pool space with the kids was priceless. It’s the perfect place for a family trip and I imagine it might be even better for a romantic weekend or honeymoon – the private pools are very private!

My only complaint is that the rooms and pools are so private that we didn’t really get a view over the water unless we went looking for it. It would be nice if the over-water villas took more advantage of their location. It would also be good if the activities were more reasonably priced.

However, these are minor complaints in what was a fabulous experience for writing this review – Grand Lexis Port Dickson. We can’t wait to go back!
