Need To Know: You must arrive on the first day on the morning ferry and depart on the last day on the afternoon ferry to be able to complete this course in four days. You can request extra accommodation if you wish.

Tioman Dive Resort
Tioman Dive Resort has great resort-style rooms as well as budget-friendly dorm rooms. It’s located in the middle of ABC, near the jetty, so it is easy to get to Tioman Dive Resort.
ABC is a nice bay with a nice beach and quiet village. You will probably spot monkeys and monitor lizards while you are staying here!
While not connected by road to the rest of the island (like most villages on Tioman), you are able to easily walk or ride into Tekek, the main town on the island, thanks to an over-water walkway.
However, you don’t need to leave ABC as there are plenty of eating options right here.
Rooms
The rooms at Tioman Dive Resort are modern and are available in double/twin, triple and quad configurations. Each of the rooms include air-conditioning, fan, TV, tea and coffee making facilities, hot water and refrigerator.
It is a quiet, peaceful location, perfect for relaxing, even if you are travelling with a partner who isn’t interested in the diving courses.

There are only eleven rooms in a double storey building and all rooms have access to a balcony seating area.
For budget travellers, there are also dorms for up to five people in a room. This makes this resort a very affordable option as well.
Facilities
There is a beach bar on-site but no restaurant. However, there are several different food options nearby along with shops and other resorts all within easy access.
Breakfast is provided at a nearby restaurant in a basic buffet style.
Washing machines are available so you can wash your own clothes.
There are water dispensers and reusable bottles available for guests.
B & J Diving Centre
The B&J Diving Centre is part of the Tioman Dive Resort – it’s all owned by the same people. They are known as one of the leading PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centres in Asia. Their motto is to provide quality dive experience without cutting any corners – and this is what they do. They have been doing this since 1986.
They are one of the largest dive centres in Malaysia and are a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centre. This means they offer all courses from beginner to instructor level.
They have the best diving equipment available (mainly Scubapro) which is serviced regularly. The Bauer compressors used provide the purest air available. They are the only dive centre in Malaysia that’s Bauer Pure Air Certified.
Just in case you still need convincing, B&J Diving Centre also takes environmental protection seriously and are a GoEco operator, GreenFins Member and Project AWARE award winner. They participate in regular clean-up activities and have a strict no-touch policy.
They also have a pool to help beginners get used to scuba diving before hitting the ocean which is a great way to go.
PADI Open Water Diver
This package includes PADI Open Water Diver qualification. This is what you need to be a certified diver. It’s a four day program.
Before starting this, you need to be able to swim for 200 metres without aids or for 300 metres with fins and snorkel as well as be able to float or tread water for 10 minutes.
This package includes everything you need to help you pass this program. Of course, you will also need to do all the work required and dives during your program to get the certification.
Once you have this qualification, you can take leisure dives anywhere in the world.
