Located in between Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru, Muar is easy to visit when exploring peninsular Malaysia. It’s located close to Melaka and has a lot to offer. The best part is that many people don’t know anything about Muar so you may be lucky enough to feel like you are the only one exploring this Royal Town of Johor.
With colonial architecture, a beautiful mosque, interesting street art and great street food, the pretty riverside town of Muar is very much worth an overnight stop while touring up the west coast of Malaysia. Or you could just stop by for a couple of hours while travelling between Johor Bahru and Melaka.
